"Why would anyone ever watch Nymphomaniac when this exists. I mean, I guess Nymphomaniac is seeder but the subtlety in which this movie tackles a very unsubtle premise about a woman who becomes bored with her wealthy life and decides to do sex work to add some excitement to it. There's a lot implied without being outright stated from the specifics of various people's sexual fantasies to the implications about the main characters own traumas hinted throughout the film. And shout out to Catherine Deneuve who continues to be a favorite actress of mine for subversive 60s movies."
