"I am normally not a dance movie fan unless it's like energetic and fun; However I saw this movie when I was really young with my cousins and wow I was surprised. Strong story and amazing performances and I actually balled my eyes out at some scenes, yeah till this day I cannot forget this movie, that in itself says something. "Didn’t expect to like this movie as much as I did! The choreography was sooo good (except for that one weird scene at the finale audition, very unrealistic). Decent story line I was very invested! Also I’m a little biased since I love any movie that has different genres of dance. 8.5/10"

"This is the BEST dance movie to ever be made. A cult classic. You were getting to watch (mostly) REAL dancers go through the struggle of succeeding within a company. As a young dancer growing up I hated watching ballet movies and knowing their technique was garbage because they weren’t trained, watching Jody, a character who has the training but wasn’t a “perfect” ballerina, felt revelatory. 10/10 cast, music, choreography. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
