It's definitely for the younger crowd but I enjoyed it. I felt that Jenna Ortega was overacting on being dark, morose and ominous which made her character too stiff and unnatural but she grew on me at the end. The school cast was perfect. Catherine Zeta-Jones was ok as Morticia but I could not find any chemistry with Luis Guzman as Gomez. He just struggled being suave, romantic and alluring. Pugsley was MIA.

Holy cr@p! As if the beginning of this book wasn't intense enough the ending is mind-blowing! Such a fkd up story. I couldn't put it down. It has so much feelings and details I empathize with Annie. It might be a little rough to read sometimes but it adds to the experience of the story.

I started this on the background while I did other stuff and quickly found myself intrigued. It's such an interesting and sad story, especially for the kids. Unbelievable how her abuse was dismissed so easily. Glad she got her happy ending. Hopefully. Definitely recommend it.
