Jenny's death was a dream. It was a look into one of Jenny's stories she wrote. You back up to season five in many regards, before Jenny died.
Season 7:

➡️Helena & Cobie.
➡️Lara & Carmen.
➡️Tina is the one straight female.
➡️Kit & Sunset Boulevard.
➡️Max and Billie are the gay male couple of the group.
➡️Mark gets arrested.
Positive representation of mental illness & Neurodiversity, bisexuality, transgenderism, polyamory/ethical non-monogamy, substance abuse recovery, being an Entrepreneur, or being famous.
Alice heals her anger, gets organized, and stable (like she presents in GQ), Bette channels her desire for control into something constructive, and realizes she is polyamorous, and so does Shane.
Bette and Shane go to therapy and work on not sabotaging their happiness.
Helena goes to therapy and fixes the overcorrection of swinging from abuser to being abused, by setting healthy boundaries and expectations.
Tina finds her independence, and excitement in her own life, without a partner, and she goes to anger management with Alice.
