"I am left a blubbering mess. This book started off strong. I loved how this book is just from the animals perspectives, S.T. is hilarious especially when he talked about the things he learned from the TV. If you like penguins then don't read this book lol, but if you don't then read it because they bad mouth them so much it was way too funny. I loved the "not so hidden" message of this book. Us MoFos are tied to our technology and it will bite us in the butt if we're not careful. Kira, you MoFo, you had to go and make me cry TWICE!! I literally went through 5 tissues each!! I can't believe you did that to me, you broke my heart. I highly suggest not to get attached to any characters in this book, it will only hurt you in the end. With that being said, I really enjoyed this new take on "human(MoFo) extinction" or "apocalypse" I really liked the fact that I was in an animals head going through everything. Also, I loved the representation of almost every single animal on this earth lincluding the ocean animals but sadly not my orcas(hopefully they're in the next book...which I'll be reading). Great read, it was funny, heartbreaking, but wholesome. "

The characters are charming (and broke my heart TW: many animal deaths). The setting is a real place but it feels new with the character’s perspective. Can’t praise enough."

"I adored this book. I think ST is absolutely hilarious and the writing for the beginning is just amazing. However towards the end the writing seems to get more loose and Mary-Sue ish, as if all of ST's problems are resolved instead of being healed through or just straight up unable to be worked out. The end part feels extremely rushed however I do very much like the ending and I got very emotionally attached to our dear crow and dog duo."

"This was an Extraordinary disappointment. I had Very high hopes for this one because the synopsis sounded Delightful and fun. Instead, this was a complete disaster. For one, the writing style is much like what you would expect a middle schooler to write like, not an Adult Woman with a husband. Example: "If there's something to be learned from Big Jim's horror films, it's that you should never insert yourself into a precarious situation, especially if you're a scantily clad blonde with breast implants or a MoFo with black skin." Not only is this childish, but that last part was Completely unnecessary and, quite frankly, offensive. I could find more but I don't feel like wasting my time on it. Another thing was that the character, S.T. (which, by the way, stood for "**** Turd", because this wasn't obnoxious enough), was a horrible representation for crows. All he was concerned with for the majority of the book was humans, to the point where, in some parts, he Actively attacked other crows instead of working with them. Now, I will say, in the end he was able to put aside his differences to work with one murder of crows, but for the majority of the book all he cared about were humans, or animals who had lived with humans. This does get 2 stars instead of 1 because the plot was pretty original, and S.T. did grow up a little in the end, but for the majority of the book, I was incredibly annoyed both by the writing and by S.T.'s actions. I had been so looking forward to this too -_-"

"This book made me laugh, it made me ugly cry, it made me happy cry. It made me think and it made me smile. I honestly did not expect such a beautiful, funny, thought provoking read, but I expect I will reread this very soon because it was too good not too. Now onto the sequel "
