ToriIt’s a typical fantasy and a bit predictable but it’s got an interesting world and I enjoyed the characters.
ToriI was between rating this one 4 or 5 stars then remembered I spent the whole morning reading it…easy choice. One of the fae retelling I can get behind bc the fae are actually not always hot or kind. Each have their own goals and will achieve them in their own ways. But also one of the books which I loved the romance. Highly rec.
ToriAs with the first book, the humor was spot on. I really enjoy murder mysteries that aren’t just blood and musings. I heavily enjoyed the supernatural elements too. I feel like they aren’t too overused for the horror elements. My largest problem was in the last part where the author simply doesn’t tell the reader the last hint. I enjoy knowing or being able to figure out the answer behind the murder. I really don’t enjoy when the author doesn’t even give a chance. Still I really enjoyed the second book and I’m looking forward to the third.
ToriA bit too childish kind of stories for my liking but well written. A fun variety of settings.
ToriFull of love, fairytale-esc book. Dare I say, cozy fantasy? Uncommon main characters in a common story. Lovely.
ToriNot the best for new fans. There were a lot of references but the story and characters were good enough to enjoy without knowing everything. More sci-fi than fantasy. A hint of romance but not acted upon (for good reason).
ToriSlow start but once amps up it’s good. The humor was still there. A fun read, less serious than some high fantasy.
