"Everything Ken Follett writes is a masterpiece. Especially his historical fiction. By the end I feel like I’ve know the characters for years and it’s bittersweet to finish the book. I love how he can emotionally pull you into a story while also creating such a rich historical environment you feel like you’re learning at the same time. "
"Gonna be honest: I didn’t finish this one, but I’m writing a review for it anyway. I got about 75% of the way through so I think that’s far enough.

I didn’t care for it. It’s repetitive, the melodrama is annoying and shallow, and the descriptions of gothic architecture are way too long and uninteresting."
"Couldn't get through it! "
