Sarah J. Maas's sexy, richly imagined series continues with the journey of Feyre's fiery sister, Nesta. Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Worse, she can't seem to move past the horrors of the war with Hybern and all she lost in it.The one person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred warrior whose position in Rhysand and Feyre's Night Court keeps him constantly in Nesta's orbit. But her temper isn't the only thing Cassian ignites. The fire between them is undeniable, and only burns hotter as they are forced into close quarters with each other. Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who returned to the Continent during the last war have forged a dangerous new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms. And the key to halting them might very well rely on Cassian and Nesta facing their haunting pasts.Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance-and healing-in each other's arms.

"It was good but could’ve been cut down by atleast 250 pages it took me so long to get through with the tedious repetitive training chapters which bored me to no end. "

"It took me about six months to finish this book, not because the story was terrible, because it was amazingly written by Sarah J Mass like always. However, I found it very difficult to empathize with Nesta, especially since the series began from Feyre’s point of view. I wasn’t a big fan of getting Nesta's side of the story, and even in the end, I still don’t feel the way she treated people was justified. I understand the deeper meaning of miserh loves company, and she was going through deep-rooted issues within herself. I like her character growth in the end and the relationship she built with Gwyn and Emerie. My favorite part of the book was them going through the blood rite. However, it was tough to empathize with Nesta, and even in the end, I’m still not her biggest fan, but I respect her a bit more. On another note, I have to say I’m not a big fan of the pregnancy trope between Rhys and Feyre. I do think it’s sweet and lovely that they now have a cute little family. But it’s a let down for me as we watched Feyre work to be stronger and a badass in the first few books just to become a mother extremely soon kind of killing that trajectory she was on. I still loved the story and the way it was written. I don’t agree with some of the character choices, but it still made it a great story."
"arguably the best book in the series. This book made me ******* sob and laugh so ******* hard. Nestas guilt and story is so beautiful and cassian is a top tier man. This book was like far more 🌶️ than the others in my opinion but it wasn’t bad and I eat that **** up every time. Power couple. "
