"Sophie Beckett never dreamed she'd be able to sneak into Lady Bridgerton's famed masquerade ball--or that "Prince Charming" would be waiting there for her! Though the daughter of an earl, Sophie has been relegated to the role of servant by her disdainful stepmother. But now, spinning in the strong arms of the debonair and devastatingly handsome Benedict Bridgerton, she feels like royalty. Alas, she knows all enchantments must end when the clock strikes midnight. Who was that extraordinary woman? Ever since that magical night, a radiant vision in silver has blinded Benedict to the attractions of any other--except, perhaps, this alluring and oddly familiar beauty dressed in housemaid's garb whom he feels compelled to rescue from a most disagreeable situation. He has sworn to find and wed his mystery miss, but this breathtaking maid makes him weak with wanting her. Yet, if he offers her his heart, will Benedict sacrifice his only chance for a fairy tale love?" --Back cover.

"I was hooked to the Bridgerton series after watching Season 1. So much so, that I continued on with reading Books 2, 3 and 4 of the Bridgerton series. I truly fell in love with Anthony's story (book 2) and Benedict's story (book 3).❤️📚
If interested in watching the Bridgerton TV series:
Heads up: Benedict's story (Book 3) will be skipped for now and not be aired as Bridgerton's Season 3. Instead it will be focused on Book 4, Colin and Penelope's story.
Going based on season 2: Anthony's story-
Since I had read the book first and had indeed fallen in love with all its gushing moments that were beautifully written in the book's original story. I couldn't overlook the fact that those gushing moments were missing in the final production of Bridgerton's Season 2. I was literally screaming at the TV, saying "it wasn't supposed to happen like that!" And "what!?!? no no no! They skipped all the good parts of the book!" My heart hurt just from watching the altered scenes unfold before my eyes, at an alarmingly rushed pace....like time was running out and all the good scenes didn't end up making the cut at the end of the day.💔
So I have prepared myself for when the time comes for Benedict's story to be aired, that the show might fall short in comparison to its counterpart (Book 3).🥺
