"In a single word...FUN! This is my first 5 star this year. I wasn't sure what to expect, but this surpassed all my expectations. Something for everyone. There's hilarious moments mixed in with murder. There are a few triggers so please be aware. If you love Dexter with a bit of spice, this may be one for you. I'm not usually a fan of series, but I can't wait for the 2nd one to come out. "

"OMG!!! This book was so amazing! This is the first serial killer romance I've read, and I was not disappointed in the least! This book was a wild ride! I was a bit perplexed by the idea of a dark romcom, but amazingly enough, this author actually made it work! It was definitely dark, with a fair amount of gore and plenty of spice, but it was also full of humor and sooooo swoony! Rowan and Sloane were an amazing couple, and I loved how they interacted together. Rowan was obsessed with Sloane in the best ways, and they may be killers, but they were beyond sweet with each other! Their banter was infinitely amusing! Rivals to friends to lovers, reverse grumpy x sunshine, slow burn, touch him/her and die, he falls first, and dual POV! The plot was intriguing and fun, the characters were lovable, and the spice was amazing! Also, the audio book was beyond incredible! 10/10 would recommend, but definitely check the trigger warnings before picking this one up!!! I will definitely be checking out the second book!"

Definitely check trigger warning for this one. The romance in this one is also super cute. It has spice. Not a tone of quantity but the quality of the scenes was very good! Would recommend this read! "This was amazing! I felt so much with these characters, I love when a book moves me but also makes me laugh! This is more than just dark romance, the way that Brynne Weaver wrote this characters. Chefs kiss doesn’t even come close, pun intended! I LOVE how Sloane is both a badass serial killer for bad guys, and also just your average woman with doubts and insecurities and daddy issues. I feel seen lol, while Rowan is just, both a dangerous deadly individual who butchers bad guys but also THE golden retriever of boyfriends everywhere. He goes to show, men know when they know. Ugh Brynne Weaver has RUINED all real men for me. I loved how raw these characters were portrayed and the spice, PHENOMENAL. Like this story is multidimensional as in DEEP emotional connection between the characters and DIRTY dirty talk and spice as well. Plot wise this wasn’t like HEAVY on it but I didn’t miss it since the character development really had me intrigued from page 1. I really love life after Butcher and Blackbird, cannot wait for the next installment. Happy reading!!!"

"If you were a fan of the show Dexter and his relationship with Hannah McKay, then you might enjoy this duo vigilante serial killer story. It’s got some twists and an extra helping of spice in the latter half. I felt the audiobook was done very well. It was almost like a dramatized adaptation having the two narrators voice the lines of their character instead of just their POV. Be aware of the many TWs at the beginning of the book."
