"2.5

hmmm this book really annoyed me. honestly the dialogue was confusing and we had little insight on what the characters were thinking. There was little internal monologue about how the characters felt about what was going on. like why they said certain things - when Mal and Jade were going back and forth with the “will they, wont they” half the time i was like girlie are we forgiving him???!! cause thats what her convo was giving??? but we werent getting her thoughts so it left the reader unsure of her desires or motivations

i was absolutely NOT a fan of Malachi in this book. He was a legit wuss and too complicated. He was sooooo inconsistent and flip floppy i was over it. everything was going well and just out of nowhere he would be like we cant be together youre going back home after we have no future. he kept going back and forth with Jade, giving her hope and then pushing her away; acting like an immature boy.
He also just ignored her for like 2 weeks even when they saw eachother everyday. no pining, no longing looks, no tension, nada. wtf is this? He’s thousands of years old, like get your **** together and be a man. Go after what you want and fight for it. just was not feeling the vibes

ALSO!!!! CAN WE ACKNOWLEDGE THAT HE WAS THINKING OF RUNNING AWAY WHEN JADE WAS LOCKED UP AND TOLD HIM HE WAS IN DANGER?!?! assusidjfbfgdiska and like leave her locked up???!?? broooooooo what a little scared rat he is. Youre going to leave your love being to die brutally? nahhhhhhhh idts

Also everything happening is SO UNCLEAR like why did brothers agree to a blood bond with Mal’s mom? im so confused about her motive and like why was she working with Seth? Also why did Mal’s mom want to kill the King of Rewyth when she was just going to kill Mal too? So many things dont make sense and dont fit together. it seems like we get more info with every book but seriously this is driving me nuts."
