"Hi, my name is Bree Camden, and I'm hopelessly in love with my best friend and star quarterback Nathan Donelson (so is half of America, judging by the tabloids and how much the guy dates). The first step is admitting, right? Except, I can never admit it to him because he clearly doesn't see me that way, and the last thing I want is for things to get weird between us. Nothing but good old-fashioned, no-touching-the-sexiest-man-alive, platonic friendship for us! Everything is exactly how I like it! Yes. Good. (I'm not crying, I'm just peeling an onion.) Our friendship is going swimmingly until I accidentally spill my beans to a reporter over too much tequila, and now the world seems to think me and Nathan belong together. Oh, and did I mention we have to date publicly for three weeks until after the Super Bowl because we signed a contract with ... oops, forgot I can't tell anyone about that! Bottom line is, now my best friend is smudging all the lines and acting very un-platonic, and I'm just trying to keep my body from bursting into flames every time he touches me. How am I going to make it through though three weeks of fake dating Nathan without anything changing between us? Especially when it almost-sort-a-kinda seems like he's fighting for a completely different outcome? Send help. XO Bree."--Back cover

"I absolutely adore this book! Bree and Nathan have my heart! Yes, they're both completely oblivious sometimes, but they're also both super sweet, and they make an adorable couple! This book is a fast, fun read, with lovable main and side characters, and a cute plot! Friends to lovers, fake dating, sports romance, and dual POV! There are so many adorable moments and sooo much fluff! I 100% recommend checking out this book!"
"Listened to the audio book and didn’t love the narrators. Not the worst just not my favourite narration. This book is very romcomy, cute, and silly. The characters seem SUPER immature for their age. It feels like a YA book written about people in their late 20s which seemed strange to me. I also personally hated the end although always appreciate when there isn’t a 3rd act breakup. I love a super cheesy romance but this was to much for me. Overall not my thing but I get why people would like it. ⭐️⭐️.5/5 (no spice). "
"I had high expectations coming into this book, and I am so happy that all of them were met. This will definitely have you giggling for no reason, and at times even throwing the book down from second-hand embarrassment. I really appreciated the lack of toxic masculinity in this book. Nathan had emotions and Sarah Adams did not shy away from that. I also loved the banter between everyone. It was very entertaining and I laughed out loud an embarrassing amount of times. "
"This was a pretty good read, like 3.5 stars. It was funny and sweet and awkward and I loved the board creation scene. But there were other things that were just too much, from the (just guessing) 58 disturbingly detailed descriptions of Nathan's abs and biceps, to the flowery language describing any mildly sensual acts. I don't need 6 paragraphs on how kissing feels a breeze rushing through a meadow on a spring day or whatever. Bree was also inconsistent as a character. In one scene she actually stated that everyone loves her, and in most others she overemphasized how average and unpopular she was. It was a good book to pass the time but I'd hate these people in real life"

"(This book was the last I read in 2023. Happy New Year!!!) it’s rounded down. 3.75 ⭐️ Overall it was a pretty quick read. I hated that it was in first person but that could just be me. The writing felt childish at times. Would I read this again? No. But would recommend if your looking for a short read. "
