"What a riveting war movie. In my opinion, this is the best "Vietnam War" movie ever. I love how the film doesn't focus solely on the violence during the war but the aftermath of the war itself. It displays how war can change any man through some of the main character arcs in the movie, and the film really does well when letting that story unfold. The cinematography in this film is also amazing with its beautiful wide landscaping shots. I also really enjoy the acting in this movie, I see why this film swept the Oscars at the time of the release. This movie has a bit of a slow pace and a really lengthy run time but by the end, you'll realize that the run time is worth it. "
