If you don't currently know about the September 11, 2012 coordinated attack on two US government facilities in Benghazi, Libya by the Islamic militant group, Ansar al-Sharia, I highly recommend you go read up on it prior to watching this movie. I was kinda lost for a while until I looked it up. Too much talking and information at the beginning made it hard for me to follow what was going on. Once I looked into it, the movie made much more sense.
It definitely starts out slow, as far as action is concerned, and that along with all the quick dialog that had me lost, I really wasn't enjoying it. Once the real action kicked in, it was hard to catch my breath. I was very much on edge. It was quite the war-torn scene by the end of the movie.
There were a couple parts that were a bit gory, such as part of an arm seemingly hanging by a thread, being treated unkindly by the owner of the arm. When you see it, you'll know what I mean. Also some people getting shot up pretty good with body parts flying off. It didn't bother me but it will bother people who don't like watching such things.
Recap: Slow start, hard to follow, good, edge-of-your-seat action, and some war-torn gory bits. I'm glad I decided to educate myself soon into the movie. I definitely enjoyed it much more. Good war-on-terror movie about real-life events, with a great cast. I recommend to anyone else who enjoys war movies."
"A movie to remember. It goes above and beyond being an inspiring story. It also serves on the order of action scenes that will give you serious anxiety, and is a truly impactful look at the brotherhood of these men. A combat movie that will put you on the edge of your seat and stay with you after the credits roll. This is such an important story and the film will not fail to make you consider joining, or rejoining, the military. Greatly recommend a watch, and make sure you're seated and ready. A call-to-action movie, which tells the story of the type of men who will continue to give everything to serve their country, which doesn't deserve them. "
