Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust

"Bravo. It might have actually been likewise that recommended this. If it was it spoiled the ending. I expected this to be super dark and over the top. But really glad it wasn’t. Love the look it’s a look I haven’t really seen. Old anime look obviously. But whatever it is actually called want more of that. The dialogue is very simple and straightforward. Which I’m fine with. Finding I actually prefer it. But others might be a little harsh with. Action was neat. It can be very quick but it looks so damn cool. Haven’t said that and actually meant it in a while. Occasionally funny moments both unintentional and intentional. The leader of the hunter group made me laugh quiet a bit. Really enjoyed the story. It doesn’t seem like much at first. But deeper in I actually started to get invested. The hand character was cool. He was annoying at first. But again he was pretty funny. Honestly laughed a lot from this movie. Taking back occasional right now. Actually cared for the romance which is a first. Very mildly dark the way I’d put it. Can be gory but the plot itself never gets very dark. Lastly obviously D himself. Such a cool character glad he didn’t change at all really. He honestly a favorite character of mine. Simply just because of how focused and determined he is. But he is super cool. Did like how he wasn’t overpowered. The heat from that sword clash was honestly overwhelming cool. First new movie of the year. Already a favorite of all time. Can’t wait to rewatch far from now because definitely will. I had to stop myself from rewinding because would have honestly taken 30 minutes to an hour to finish. "

"Shocktober 2024: Every element of this feels like the coolest thing an edgy teen could imagine and I love that for it. It's very heavy on style and it has style in droves. It mashes together Gothic romance, sci-fi elements, hot half Vampires hunting Vampires, other cool supernatural Beasts. And the artwork of the original Manga was done by Yoshitaka Amano of Final Fantasy fame who happens to be one of my favorite artists and this movie captures his illustrations immaculately with very good looking animation to boot."
