"A bio pic about Isabel Wilkerson who wrote a book Caste as an alternate to racism to explain the social complicity apparent in Nazi Germany, Indian castes and America. Race may not be the defining quality to the treatment of difference and the subjugation and exploitation of certain groups. A personal research journey told through vignettes."
"I struggle to review this film in a brief and digestible manner because this film is not "brief" nor is it quickly "digested". A dramatization of Isabel Wilkerson's non-fiction book "Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents", this film poses a definitive question and brings you along on the journey as our main character goes on quite a journey to make her case. Many heavy-hitting moments contrasted by the very noticeable quietness of the film. This is the kind of film that makes you go home and open Google. 4 out of 5 stars because I think the first quarter is actually quite weak compared to where it goes and the story about her husband just doesn't seem to quite connect the way it should with everything else."
"It’s a complete story. Makes you look at things differently. When you want to go deep - watch this one with an open mind and soul."

"Intense movie - should be required viewing for those planning to vote this US election. History repeats itself. "

"Hands down the best film I’ve seen in years. It is the best of Isabell Wilkerson and the best of Ava Duvernay Watch it and pay attention! So interesting!"
