So Satoko Okudera was the writer for Wolf Children and Summer Wars, two of the Mamoru Hosoda’s films I loved but this one he wrote and directed and it’s obvious he’s the weaker writer. Takes queues from Summer Wars (the internet and all of its positives/negatives) and Wolf Children ( motherly love) but doesn’t go beyond them and the Beauty and the Beast aspect adds nothing expect a reason for Belle getting Doxxed at the end. If you like the music you’ll might like it but beyond that it’s a step backwards from Summer War’s and Wolf Children. "
