Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

"Such a great classic. I recently rewatched this after about 20yrs. I found myself singing along with the songs and laughing at the memories of my Mom calling me her little Snow White when I was a kid. My affinity for animals and children very much fit that of Snow White. I also cried for the same reasons. I miss my Mom. "

"There is just something charming with vintage disney animation "

"It is beyond iconic in every way. Heck, it's the first animated movie. But it also acts like the first animated movie. Don't get me wrong, this is a classic and does deserve recognition for what it set in motion, but it's not outstanding in any way. Disney started something here, and I will applaud it for that, but this movies story just can't hold against the test of time. The animation is still "good" and I put quotes there because it's good in the way that Van Goghs starry night is good but since you've always seen it and it's thrown in your face you become desensitized to it. I don't mean you see Snow White played a lot, but growing up in today's world, you see much better animation and scenery from any number of movies you can account for. Yet 2D, even the original one, does have a sense of character to it that 3D can't quite capture. Again, I will stress this. It's a bad movie. In fact, it's kind of torturous to watch if you're not invested. It is a classic movie that everyone should at least see once then be done with it, but still iconic in every sense of the word. Plus, you might be one of the lucky few who enjoy watching this old-y. If so, I applaud you. But man, I can't stand irrelevance, and a lot of original Disney movies are chock full of them. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, but as someone who watches things for the story it really sucks trying to stay invested in movies like this. This one isn't as bad as it's predecessors but it does still have its faults. "

"Everything about this movie holds up incredibly well. Well, maybe not all the songs, but it's still got absolutely beautiful design and animation. The writing is charming. The humor and score are great. If you haven't watched it in a while, I'll never not recommend it. "
