"What other movie could have Peter Weller as a character being a rocket scientist, neurosurgeon, rock band star, and physicist? I also love that with an unbelievably absurd plot, Jamaican allies, aliens all named John as their first name, there was still time to have a subplot with a twin-you-look-like-my wife moment! John Lithgow is the best as John Big Booty! 😆😂 Jeff Goldblum always did like choosing fun roles. And the end credits is so much fun to watch, like an 1980s MTV music video. I always have memories watching this movie."

"The quintessential PG cool movie. Only the 80s could bring us a movie like this. Peter Weller is a brain surgeon / scientist / race car driver / rockstar / piano-playing / bandana wearing badâss. Jeff Goldblum dresses like Howdy Doody. John Lithgow sells crazy. Ellen Barkin plays the Princess to Weller's Mario. Lewis Smith as Perfect Tommy is cool as fvck. Clancy Brown as Rawhide is a badäss motherfūcker and my favorite character. The special effects are so dated, but it's got a rad synth score and the closing credits scene is as money as money gets. There's nothing quite like this movie."
