"REWATCH: It’s truly bewildering how underrated this film is. It possesses such a gorgeous story of people connecting in the worst of times through literature and simply beautiful cinematography and scoring. Not to mention, the cast is absolutely stacked with Lily James, Michiel Huisman, Matthew Goode and (crazily enough) Glen Powell AND Kit Connor (plus more). The film is full of heart, and is such a tragic yet uplifting tale of hope, family and love. Unlike other films where an absent character haunts the narrative, the character of Elizabeth is a comforting presence that reminds the audience of the capacity for good human beings have. As for the romance, the story between Dawsey and Juliet is utterly romantic and I found myself swooning all over it. The movie is all together charming and comforting and I can’t believe I forgot how much I enjoyed it."

"Don’t let the name of this film make you think it’s not a good film, it’s very much a good film."

"Very cute historical romance. Holds an emotional punch, but in the best way. Also gives a good twist to the “girl on a life changing trip” trope."
