"This is based on the book of the same name by the talented Philip Roth. As I read the book, I was struck by the words of so many and how closely it paralleled current events. Of course Lindbergh wasn’t elected thankfully, but how compelling this story is! Movies/TV can never be the same as a book course, but I thought this stayed close to the book in showing how easily and blindly a country can be led to fascism. I don’t know what we’re going to do here in the US. "
