"a sweet and scary parable about childhood and adulthood. Still chewing on it, but I think it suggests that neither adults nor children are completely innocent or corrupt. “Ocean” is not a clean metaphor, though there are many theme statements: “The truth is, there aren’t any grown-ups. Not one, in the whole wide world”. I could use more world building, and I’m not sure Gaiman himself even has it all figured out, but that’s part of the fun. "
