"Think of the heart-racing chase of The Hunger Games, but a giant mall is your arena."--Seventeen.comA suspenseful survival story and modern day Lord of the Flies set in a mall that looks just like yours. A biological bomb has just been discovered in the air ducts of a busy suburban mall. At first nobody knows if it's even life threatening, but then the entire complex is quarantined, people start getting sick, supplies start running low, and there's no way out. Among the hundreds of trapped shoppers are four teens. These four different narrators, each with their own stories, must cope in unique, surprising manners, changing in ways they wouldn't have predicted, trying to find solace, safety, and escape at a time when the adults are behaving badly. This is a gripping look at people and how they can—and must—change under the most dire of circumstances. And not always for the better.

"Rant review:
Honestly I’m so annoyed with the book and I’m barely 50 pages in. Main protagonists are: football jock who insta loves a other mc, bratty girl who just complains about her mother and her body, manic pixi dream girl who floats around giving away vintage poetry books, and some other guy who you don’t even have time to get to know.

Also this book starts out with an mc getting stalked in a parking garage. Apparently he scratched some guy’s car at school. So he’s gonna get run down with said car. In what world? A little over dramatic. Not a punch in the face....full on murder? Alright.

can we talk about the racial stereotypes? Black character just talks about how thick she is. She constantly rants about her big boobs and butt. Mexican character is illegal. Indian girl has henna tattoos all over her face and body. And at one point the author says she’s speaking Indian???? Indian?? Indian is not a language. One google search would have told you that. White character is a bland football player who falls for the “exotic” Indian girl.

The premise seemed very interesting. I was hoping for bioterrorism in a mall, People fighting for resources, maybe some corrupt governments. all the vain, bitchy, “I’m not like other girls”mcs got in the way of me enjoying this book. Also oh my god the instalove is atrocious.

Honestly this review could be much better written but I’ve already wasted enough time on this book."
