"3.5⭐️ My second MM book and I don’t think she’s the author for me. Yes she’s highly recommended plus her synopses always sound so good…I so badly want to like them! Well I found this one to be better than The Last to Vanish but it still took forever to finish because it never truly gets its hooks into you, well me that is anyway. But again..intriguing plot. I wanted to know what happened. It was all..to quote another reviewer on another book..aggressively fine lol "

"I didn't like it. It was boring, didn't give me a reason to care about the characters or the plot, and it felt like all the characters we're blowing everything out of proportion. It was almost a DNF but I basically just skimmed the last quarter of the book. Plus the twists were expected. "

There were so many characters and the timeline hops confused me. I couldn’t get invested in anybody or really track what was going on. Bummer. "

I think it’s rare for readers to get a mostly happy ending in a novel that’s in the thriller genre so I was surprised as the resolution started to unfold. I think it’s important to note there are timeline and character POV changes but I felt they were easy to navigate while reading. I have yet to be disappointed by BOTM’s thriller picks. 4/5⭐️"
