Princess of Souls is a retelling of my absolute favorite fairytale, Rapunzel. This tale is set in the same world as To Kill a Kingdom which is one of my absolute favorite books ever! I was so excited to receive this book and this book was just as good as I thought it would be! Princess of Souls follows Selestra a sixteen year old who has the ability to steal souls and must work for the immortal king. Then we meet Nox, a solider of the kings army. I instantly feel in love with this dark brooding male despite his evil tendencies. Together these two go on one crazy ass ride. I was completely captivated by this book the entire time. I didn’t want to put it down! Super impressed yet again by Alexandra. She is an auto buy author for me! Definitely check out this book, it’s not one to miss!"

Despite being a Rapunzel retelling, I thought the novel would have benefitted from more focus on the romance. The supporting characters in the book were interesting, but I would have like to see more of them throughout the book. Overall, Princess of Souls was pretty good, but unfortunately didn‘t quite live up to my high expectations after reading To Kill a Kingdom."
