What if Anna and Elsa never knew each other? As the future Queen of Arendelle, Princess Elsa's life is full of expectation and responsibility-not to mention, questions. What type of ruler will she be? When will she have to pick a suitor? And why has she always harbored the feeling that some critical piece of herself is missing? Following the unexpected death of her parents, Elsa is forced to answer those questions sooner than she'd hoped, becoming the sole ruler of her kingdom and growing lonelier than ever. But when mysterious powers begin to reveal themselves, Elsa starts to remember fragments of her childhood that seem to have been erased-pieces that include a very familiar-looking girl. Determined to fill the void she has always felt, Elsa must take a harrowing journey across her icy kingdom to undo a terrible curse . . . and find the missing Princess of Arendelle.

"What if Elsa and Anna never knew each other?
As Elsa is about to take the role as the new queen of Arendelle, it is a wonder of the type of ruler she will be. She has a lot of things changing in her life but she can’t get over the thought that some part of her is missing.
After her parents unexpectedly perish, she has to figure out how she will rule her kingdom sooner than she hoped and as lonely as she’s ever been. As mysterious powers start to reveal themselves, Elsa is starting to remember part of her childhood that seems to have been hidden away. These memories include a familiar looking girl with red hair, but who is she? Determined to find what she’s missing in life, Elsa must cross her icy kingdom to undo a curse and to find the missing princess of Arendelle.
I think for a twisted tale story this was well written. The Disney Twisted Tale series takes a vital part of a Disney story and changes it to where the story itself is different. In this one instead of just growing up apart, Anna and Elsa have no recollection of each other and grow up completely apart, until the time comes when they need to remember. I think not even knowing the original story, I think this mixed up retelling is better than the original. Of course it has a predictable ending, predictable character development due to the story it’s based on, but I still found myself caught in the story and enjoying it from start to finish. It’s a very short read and even as an adult I fully enjoyed ready the alternate story of Arendelle’s princesses."
"<b>I AM HAVING SO MANY FEELINGS!!!</b> Just AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!! That was SO beautiful!!! I read 235 pages from it in One sitting, and it's been a while since a book has had me doing that!!! It was written so well and I LOVED how it differed from the movie!!! This made me hate Hans even more than the movie did XD And the way Elsa's grief and pain was written? <i>SPECTACULAR!!!!</i> I loved Everything about this book, and I honestly think it's my favorite of the Twisted Tales series (Though [b:As Old As Time|28450966|As Old As Time|Liz Braswell|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1459963718l/28450966._SY75_.jpg|48577872] is an Extremely close second)!!! I Seriously recommend reading this if you like retellings or fantasy, because this was just WONDERFUL to read!!!"
"So the world knows how I absolutely dislike frozen. But knowing what the twisted tales do to the disney stuff. I had to read it not only because I read the other six of these, but I wanted to see how they would twist a franchise I'm not a fan of to make it good. And it did. It was worth the read. I finished it today and I only gave it a four.....because it ended happily ever after :p I'm just kidding but it was a great story I loved how the characters were and how they were brought in. It was a great book."
"As my first Twisted Tale book, this Frozen retelling was better than I could have imagined. The twist of Anna and Elsa not being raised together and not remembering each other until they were 18 and 21 respectively is such a unique twist, but Jen Calonita did such an amazing job at portraying it. She captured everyone's personalities perfectly and even added quotes and scenes from the movie and even the songs so beautifully that they fit into this version seamlessly. I will definitely be purchasing in hard copy to keep on my shelf. And reading the rest of the Twisted Tales series."
"I enjoyed the storyline of this more than the movie itself, way more complex and detailed "
