'One of the best fantasy book series of the past decade' TIMEA glorious empire. A desperate quest. An ancient secret. The search for allies extends to a new land in the sixth book of the #1 bestselling Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas. Chaol Westfall and Nesryn Faliq have arrived in the shining city of Antica to forge an alliance with the Khagan of the Southern Continent, whose vast armies are Erilea's last hope. But they have also come to Antica for another purpose: to seek healing at the famed Torre Cesme for the wounds Chaol received in Rifthold. After enduring unspeakable horrors as a child at the hands of Adarlanian soldiers, Yrene Towers has no desire to help the young lord from Adarlan, let alone heal him. Yet she has sworn an oath to assist those in need, and she will honour it. But Lord Westfall carries his own dark past, and Yrene soon realises that those shadows could engulf them both. Chaol, Nesryn, and Yrene will have to draw on every scrap of their resilience to overcome the danger that surrounds them. But while they become entangled in the political webs of the khaganate, long-awaited answers slumber deep in the mountains, where warriors soar on legendary ruks. Answers that might offer their world a chance at survival ... or doom them all. The final battle looms in this sixth book in the #1 New York Times bestselling Throne of Glass series.

"Honestly, I liked this book a lot more than I thought I would. All the reviews I read had people trashing it because it was on the same timeline as Empire of Storm and they needed answers to that cliff hanger but it actually was really good???? SJM tied everything together so nice with a bow with this book and I think it was needed in context for the coming book. This also was the Chaol redemption arc i needed to not hate him anymore."
"So unbelievably boring. Chaol does not merit a whole book, and if he did, this ain't it.
Yrene deserves better. 2/5"

"This book receives a lot of hate from fans of the series and I don't understand why. The character development is rich. The overarching story is set up perfectly for the climax. The romances are beautifully written. Just an all around pleasing book. Read it in tandem with Empire of Storms for the maximum impact. 8/10"
"I decided to do the “tandem read” of Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn and could not recommend it more!! It was AMAZING! Whoever created it made the chapter transitions so smooth. It flowed so naturally that it felt like it was a single book. I chose to do this because EOS follows one group of characters and TOD follows a different set of characters along the same timeline. I’m so attached to them all I just couldn’t part from any of them. I’m so glad I did it this way. So worth it for me. I just love the intricate web Sarah weaves. The story has so much depth and complexity and I’m just eating it all up. The way the characters intertwine is so well thought out and genius to me. I cannot wait to start the last book in the series."
