"I read this book as part of a series and it's an amazing read. It paints a great picture of a futuristic world and it's inner workings. Shows the dark side of a future, with crippling wars and overpopulation. It also paints an amazing picture for the rest of the series with the introduction of the unknown species. It's great to see through the eyes of just another citizen trying to survive in a harsh world, or worlds in this case. It's a good read as for legnth, good enough to tell you a story and get you hooked for the rest of the series without droning on and finishing the writers message in a cramped book. Overall, great book especially for teen readers like myself."
