"This book was fine to pass the time during a car ride, but I wouldn't voluntarily pick it up again. I always love reading about Nick and Charlie, but in this story, there was WAY too much teenage angst. The big fight they had was stupid and the complete lack of follow-up/communication was frustrating."

"I love Nick and Charlie. The book and the couple. They are adorable together. I liked the drama in the book. I thought it was good to be able to see a dofferent side of Nick and Charlie, and see how they dealt with it."

"Though this came out before the graphic novels, I read it after reading the 3 heartstoppers and tbh, I expected more. It felt like the love and chemistry between Nick and Charlie was too off and their dialogues didn't seem like how they talk otherwise either. This is probably because of the graphic novels coming out after this novella and Oseman probably developed the intricacies layer, and I understand that. But still, if I'd read this before the graphic novels, I probably wouldn't be as excited about Heartstopper as I generally am."
