"This series gives me the same vibes as the Myrtle Hardcastle kids series of which there are only three books so far. Both quirky, slightly morbid little girls in the 10 - 12 age range with their scientific endeavors, solving murders a grown man is unable to. Both are girls I would readily be friends with likely to the alarm of my family. I think what's so refreshing about this series and others similar to it is that these girls are allowed to be intelligent and not just be a stereotype."
