"Orpheus is such a golden retriever boy demon dustwalker! May we all have one like him, fangs, tentacles and all. He’s roaming this world not sure if what or who he is but firm in his goal to find a companion, just someone to help him feel less lonely when you live an eternity. Then comes Riea, or rather she’s thrown at him as a sacrifice in exchange for protection to the town that shuns her. The demons killed here family and not her so obviously she’s a menace and getting rid of her as a sacrifice to a dustwalker will be worthwhileh, because 2 birds 1 stone right? Together these 2 misunderstood brave scared characters discover what it means to be seen, heard and understood. The spice is, phenomenal, and the plot is good for the most part. There are some twists I didn’t see coming and I was left with questions which I hope the sequel will answer. Overall it was a very cute monster romance with all the spice I needed. "
"Really good read! I am looking forward to the next books! The demon creation method in this book reminded me of the Hollows in Bleach. Especially when he said “they take on the characteristics of what they eat,” the mask being his weakness, and develop “intelligence from eating humans.” Basically describing hollows, arrancar and Espada! So maybe some sampling happened? Very very spicy! 🌶️ 🌶️🐙🦑 😂😂😂"
"I may be a dirty monster lover, but I have standards. Way too much exposition and unnecessary details. I honestly do not think this book was edited at all with the amount to times basic things like colors of clothing were repeated multiple times in places it was not needed. Orpheus was the only somewhat good thing about the book. That being said, just because the lead male is a monster does not make the book worth reading. Do NOT recommend"
"This is pure **** with a really good plot and comedy. The characters are so sweet and the fact the male is willing do anything for the female is amazing. I appreciated that the female character wanted to help the other duskwalker. And the Witch Owl coming in that spoiler around the end of the book."
"So I am going to keep this short, I don't remember where I left off because when you return a book to Amazon it deletes all progress with the book unless you synced it with Goodreads prior. But the short and sweet version is that I really, REALLY wanted to like this book. For the writing and the plot really hooked me. And yes I KNOW this a **** book but I want a healthy (and most of the time heaping) dose of story because why else should I continue reading. I had such high hopes for this book because the author didn't just jump into sex and instead eased into it. But as I should have predicted, the second sex was completely on the table, all the plot was lost and it was just constant. Now I pride myself as a sexually active woman and I am not one to usually pass up a tumble or two, but did these two happen to forget that there is actual danger outside their window? Apparently, I have never had sex that good that it makes me forget that my meager mortal existence is DANGEROUSLY close to the edge. In other words, this is just another book to prove to me that **** is not to my fancy unless I write it."
