"This book consumed me , spit me out and I said “thank you” at the end. I went into this book with 0 expectations and I think this is the best way…I read this book slowly, absorbing every detail… at times, it felt as if I became part of this book, a silent observer following all the characters around. That was a little scary, frustrating, impatient at times…and of course I made my assumptions all the way until the end. Being soooo many times wrong is understatement!! …after reaching 50% of the book, I stopped breathing and a true roller coaster ride began!! My obsession with reading books just started so I’m a beginner but THIS book opened another level of understanding and appreciating books…I started breathing again when I finished the book. I know what you think…that many opinions as many people reading the same book but if you pass on this book you will miss a huge opportunity to see the world in multiple dimensional view. Read the book !! There is a message at the end… good luck ! … you gonna need it…🤓😳🤯"
"Whoa. Phew. What a rollercoaster! Despite the seemingly confusing start of the book, the intrigie of figuring out what the heck is going on propels you through the story. It runs a common (now it feels maybe misued) trope on its head. I can't declare if Ward did justice or not but I hope you did too. "

"This book was unexpected! I wasn’t on the edge of my seat as described in other reviews. You definitely knew something wasn’t right but I was indeed surprised in the end! "

"… I really was hooked in the beginning of the story. Especially being October and hoping for a horror book. Unfortunately the style of reading was not my favorite. And the twist wasn’t really what I hoped for. I guess all the hype it got on IG made me excited but yea not my favorite. Don’t know how Esquire rated this in their 50 best horror. Trigger warning: Childabuse and Mental Disorder "
