I began reading with my imagination after this novel. I realized when you read you can make the story yours by imagining what your characters look like and creating the extent of their intended emotion. It really was an awakening of sorts into the joy of reading."

brynlee_cotney shared a tip "flowers for algernon has a touch of mature content, and there's some language involved in the book. if you don't mind this, it's an amazing heartwarming book told through the point of view of a middle aged man born with a low IQ, and how he finds his way in the world after an operation meant to make him intelligent."
amina_al-bahadli shared a tip "brilliant"

robert_munson shared a tip "Loved this book! The beginning can get confusing if you appreciate “good grammar”, but because of first person point of view, Charlie’s condition is responsible for incapability to comprehend much of anything well. After page sixty, I personally guarantee you will be incapable of setting the book down. Although I do recommend slower pace when reading, if you get confused with the differentiation of hallucinations or reality in the subject matter of science fiction involving the human brain."
