"3.5⭐ Stillhouse Lake is a fast-paced and intriguing novel, and Killman Creek is more of a slow burn. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it's kind of like the thriller version of the journeying parts of Deathly Hallows. A lot of time is spent moving around and waiting, and many people don't mind that, but it wasn't what I expected after Stillhouse Lake. I still enjoyed the general storyline. I like hearing about Gwen, and she's an intriguing character. Her storyline in this one just drew kind of close to another popular crime novel. Maybe I've been reading too much crime fiction recently; I don't know. It felt sort of anti-climactic, and I didn't find a lot of it to be believable. There were a couple plot points that seemed to have unrealistic answers. I wasn't a huge fan of the story being told in multiple POVs, but I understand why it happened. I still think everyone should finish the duology, but just adjust your expectations so you know that it's very different from Stillhouse Lake.
