Pleasure has never been so deadly. Rose Cassidy doesn't truly live; she just exists. Numbing herself to fear and pain is the only way she can survive in this cruel world. So when she's taken as collateral by the notorious Danny Black in a deadly game of power, she's thrown by the deep fear she feels rising within her. And, worse than fear, a profound desire. She's heard tales of The Brit. He's callous. Coldblooded. But no one ever said he was wickedly beautiful and darkly captivating. He sees past her mask, giving her a cruel sense of hope. But she must fight their twisted attraction or risk losing the one thing she survives for. When Danny Black took an enemy's beautiful lover as security, he never anticipated the repercussions. Or the warped attraction they would share. Rose Cassidy pushes Danny to the brink of madness with her impenetrable façade and savage allure. He has to remind himself that she's bait. A solution to a problem. Yet she evokes powerful feelings in Danny, and feelings are risky when you're wanted dead by endless enemies. The most dangerous game is about to be played. But can either of them win?

"Dnf and yes I will still write a review because I suffered thru enough I deserve the right to.<br/><br/>I feel like I have written this review a hundred times. Maybe after this I'll just start to copy and paste it from now on. I apparently can not say this enough. Please stop telling your reader what to think and feel. <br/><br/>"The Brit is hot, he is a good guy. He only kills rapist who steals money not devote Christians who steal money. (I might be paraphrasing here) He doesn't care for women but he cares for me. I've never been aroused by any man before him. He is a deadly masterpiece but I hate him. He will never touch me but I want him. I hate that I want him"<br/><br/>"This girl is hot because she refuses me. I don't want anyone looking at her. I won't touch her unless she ask me too because I'm not that kind of person. I'm going to hit her and burn her to figure her out because she reminds me of me."<br/><br/>Now put this on repeat. Instead of showing me these things I am repeatedly told them. I would like to draw my own conclusions with their actions. That's the thing about reading. Given the structure of the words I could read the same story as another but have a totally different experience. But not when I am being told what to think.<br/><br/>Oh gosh the bedroom language was eye rolling. At this point I don't care if I sound sexist. This was definitely written by a lady. A man would never say or do these things and if he did you need to leave that toxic relationship right away. I have honestly never seen a man whip his thing out to pee to try to turn someone on. Ugh and quit calling people baby."
