"I'll be completely honest. I don't remember Jess really from previous novels. I read this and the previous one back to back, but the rest were over time at various release dates. I get the idea that she's a flirt and maybe a boyfriend thief. Despite not remembering much about her, I felt the story didn't suffer because I don't remember her.

Ms. Glines does a great job at reintroducing a character like Jess. I never felt the need to go back and reread what she had done to the other girls from previous books. I think I was better off, because I was able to see her as the girl she is, not the girl she was before. And I enjoyed seeing her softer side. The side that not a lot of people get to see. I enjoyed her insecurities. Weird maybe, but I did. I enjoyed realizing that this girl who is pure sex on a stick is human, just like me. While she knows she has a great body, there are things that make her vulnerable. She's real and not plastic.

The romance was interesting. While Jess felt like Jason was slumping, she kept trying to remind herself it was just a fling. The attraction burned hot from the start. I liked the chemistry and I loved the struggle of Jason and Jess being from two different worlds. It was close to Jax and Sadie's story, but different enough. I'll admit, I'm waiting for the book where Mrs. Stone gets what's coming to her. Hag.

This is book 6 in the series. Usually by now is where the story starts to dwindle and go south. The author loses steam or story ideas. I was wondering if this would be a repeat of Jax's story, but it wasn't. Ms. Glines is on a roll and the series is going strong. Can't wait for the next book, Krit should be interesting."
