"I really hope we’ll eventually get a third book in the Villains series. We still don’t really know who June is, don’t know what Victor plans to do now, and what happens to Sydney, Mitch, and Dol. Dom’s death hadn’t really hit any of them, so will they grieve or be fine? I want to see the aftermath of everything. And is Eli really dead? Is he going to stay dead? We don’t know if anyone burned his body, so there’s a chance someone will bring him back. And what about Victor’a weird dying thing? We never found a solution for that.

This book was amazing. It definitely lived up to Vicious—I was afraid it wouldn’t because this was written several years after the first book, but it didn’t let me down.

The characters are incredibly complex and I love that. Ever since I read the first book, I thought that Eli was more evil than Victor & always had been, and this book confirmed that. I don’t remember his exact age (somewhere between 10-12) but Eli had purposely pushed his father down the stairs & killed him. He had a rough childhood & I think it’s really good we got to see that. (Not saying it’s good that he was abused or anything, just saying that it definitely plays a role in who he became as he grew up.)

Also, Marcella was such an interesting character to read from. I kinda love her… she’s a girlboss. Yeah, yeah, she’s done very horrible things, I know, I know… but I respect that she goes after what she wants. She’s incredibly smart, ambitious, and strong. I love love love when female main characters are independent baddies because that’s the message we should be giving to young girls as they’re growing up—not that they need a man to help them do everything. (*cough cough Twilight*)

I really really really want to know more about June. I want to know more about who she is & where she came from & how she ended up at this point. I want to know how she met Anthony Hutch (or as I like to call him, Asshole Hutch) & I want to know more about how her power works. Does she find Sydney again? She helped Victor (mainly for Sydney’s sake) so does she help him find Sydney, Mitch, and Dol?

I loved this book. And while there are many loose ends I want tied up, I thought this was written brilliantly—in a way that VE Schwab could just let the story be, or if she wanted to, she could write a sequel."
