"Tristan Caine, the man you are. Ugh. I’m over here going feral for a man who barely speaks.
This book was so good. The plot twist at the end ?!?
Everything about this book was perfect. I NEED MORE RIGHT NOW. "

"4.5 ⭐️ If I had to take a shot every time 'whisky and sin' was said, or there was a staring contest between the mc's, I'd end up in the ER 🫠 that said, these books are like crack 🙈 Are they the best books ever? No. Are they written the best? No. But Are they a good time? Absolutely! "

"Someone pour ME a double shot of whiskey because that’s all I’m willing to have after the amount of times I read the word “whiskey.” I swear I haven’t seen a word overused since “sex” in Secret life of American teenager. That aside I enjoyed the wrap up of Morana and Tristen’s story, was genuinely surprised how much I enjoyed it."

"Again, I did and didn’t like this book. I’m not a fan of the writing style, and it would reaaslly benefit from having an editor. And, maybe chill with all the intense staring and feeling energies and whatnot? I also think at one point a random name, Axton, was mentioned, never to be seen again. It seemed like something the author meant to take out but forgot. Who knows. Anyway, I can’t say I cared about the plot too much, but agh I kind of fell in love with Tristan. And just reading about Morana showing him the love he so desperately needs made me really happy. So yeah, a couple stars for that. I doubt I’ll read about Dante and Amara. Though they were nice, they didn’t intrigue me too much. I don’t think I’ll get the same vibes I was getting from Tristan and Morana. Ah well, so it goes"

"okay i liked this book better than book 1.

Dislikes:
the “voice of whiskey and sin” was still mentioned every chapter, if not every couple pages. Can someone explain what on earth this means bc its annoying me lol.

I feel like morana is becoming a bit soft (not in the way that love does, but like personality-wise shes becoming less bad ass bitch). I love strong, unbothered FMC so this was a bit bothersome.

Also why cant they get married until they find luna? you would think after they find her they want to focus on helping her, so they wont have time or energy to marry. annoyed me.

Likes:
overall i really liked this book. it is a dark romance so there are some really dark concepts in this book. bug plot twist re. morana’s father which was crayyy.

there were some really really touching scenes in this book. its interesting as the most intimate parts of the book doesnt really involve much physical intimacy and more just breaking down walls and being emotionally intimate. It really displayed the progress they made as a couple.

taking a break from these books bc the vial horrific trades the mafia was involved in was a lot for me, need some feel-good topics before diving back in."

"I’m not okay. He didn’t say I love you. How dare he? (He was only severely traumatized, I think he can say I love you)

Just kidding, I am a little sad he didn’t say it, but I’m just glad Morana knew even if he couldn’t say it. I am hoping that we might hear him say it in a later book after they’ve been together for some time. Then again, I won’t be that upset if he doesn’t, I know he’s hurting still and I love that man.

I should say Tristan can be my new book boyfriend but I won’t..sorry guys..

I loved him, yes, but I cannot have someone who can’t communicate. Before you say “he doesn’t know how” I know that. Which is why I love him still, but he cannot be a book boyfriend for me. Morana is a saint and if you could handle the lack of communication like she could, I love you, you’re much better than I am.

Enough about him, the plot was really interesting. Definitely wasn’t expecting that ending. I was hoping they’d find Luna Caine but, once again, hoping she’ll show up in a later book.

Her real dad dying was criminal. That’s all I got to say. CRIMINAL."
