"beautiful story. it takes place in staten island, New York aroud the 1950s. it's about a two kids, lorraine and john who prank a man, named Angelo Pignati. they call him and he invites them over thinking they're adults. he is a person who loves to play mind games, and he collects porcelain pigs and his wife recently died. after that day, they visited him all the time. they also went to the zoo with him one day. he had a friend named bobo the monkey. one day they were going around his house on roller skates, he was at the top of the stairs and had a heart attack. while he was in the hospital they looked after his house except for the night he came home. They threw a party at his house the night he came home and everyone who came basically destroyed Mr. Pignati's things especially his pigs. he was depressed after that. the next day they called him and told him to come to meet them at the zoo. they went to go see bobo. when he had found out Bobo had died of Pneumonia, mr. Pignati dropped to the floor and died."

Years later as a college student, I re-read the book and I loved it just as much as I did when I was young. Its a beautiful, yet heartbreaking story that can really appeal to the child in you.
