Topic: The Strange Thing About the Johnsons
Spoiler Discussion: Has anyone seen "The Strange Thing About The Johnsons"?? Just rewatched it last night. It's on YouTube if you've never seen it. If you have seen it, what do you think sparked the "disturbing relationship"? I feel like the dad might've started it actually. Although he's portrayed as the victim, I was getting some weird vibes from him too. Movie is bizarre asf by the way. Viewer discretion advised.

Tish P I need to understand what you think the dad did to spark it. Not gonna lie, I've watched it close to 10 (probably more) times and I always got the dad just tried to love his son and his son taking it all wrong. The real victim in this was the son's wife. Oblivious to any of it

Jae B. I don’t think she was oblivious as she portrayed. I just think she felt it was easier to ignore than to actually deal with the full wtf-ness of the situation.

Si-Set I watched this movie after seeking out intentionally disturbing flicks. I think that the Dad didn't start the relationship, but he unknowingly encouraged it in the very beginning when he told his son that it was OK to have those feelings and explore oneself. Unfortunately, the Dad didn't realize his son felt that way about him since he didn't see who was in the picture..
