Malcolm Gladwell popularized the notion of the “10,000 hour rule” (I.e. amount of time needed to develop mastery of something) in the acclaimed Outliers book. How accurate do you think this concept is in your own line of work?

Andrei Villasana In the world of Software Engineering, I think this is a half-truth, given that there are a variety of different specializations in the field.
