Topic: Frankenstein
Is it me or am I the only one that read Frankenstein and loved it. And understood the whole reason why the monster was killing people. And feel like the doctor was the bad guy actually. But for some reason can’t remember the whole story and need to reread it again??

Lucas S You’re totally not alone — it’s a classic because it’s so beloved. I was also mostly on the monster’s side until he strangled that kid, but dr Frankenstein is definitely in the wrong for gambling with life

pbrown58@comcast.net I was so surprised how different the book was (in a great way) to what I expected based on the old black and white movie I watched as a kid!

Annabel I do agree with u there. But I love the book so much more. They never do it justice. I feel like someone needs to make a movie/show that is exactly like the book so people can understand the true meaning out of it.

Sandman613 @annabel_ entirely agree, not just because everyone thinks Frankenstein is the monster, but because Mary Shelley's original intended message is totally missing from the movie. It's just about a big ol monster

Jesse Mcelroy I’m on page 60 now. Loving it so far, toiling with the secrets of nature unleashing malevolence. A man trying to be a god is never going to end well.
