Kimberli McFarlane It's SO hard to decide whether it was real or not 🥺 like, on one hand - how could a mother actually feel that way about their child?

Anne Sintay Ug yeah I feel that but I just don’t see how Jeremy believed the manuscript if there was really no way it could have been true

Caitlin Johnson I think she did it Bc of a few factors. Like the scare on the little girls face is a big one and there were others I just can’t think of them Bc I read it a while ago. I think Hoover wants you to decide and I thought it was so cool how she did that.

Anne Sintay Yeah the not knowing at the end is definitely the scariest part of the book for me😂

Anna I really do believe the letter was the last manipulation. She was just trying to cover up or seem like the good guy in this situation. Have you read the extra chapter?

Anne Sintay No I haven’t :/ is it online somewhere?

Amber Simpson I heard that the extra chapter didn't solve anything and was more about how she felt postpartum. I found a book that had it, but would rather keep my own views from the original ending.

Nanc I’m team Manuscript. If you think about it, if Jeremey read it and didn’t think anything was off from fact (like the argument about favoring Chastin). He wouldn’t have reacted the way he did if he felt like any of it was too far from fact. Also, if you’re team letter, you’re supposed to just believe she was a perfectly nice, sane happy family woman before her family tragedy, who somehow ends up being the type of person who fakes a debilitating condition?

Nanc Hateddddd the epilogue bonus chapter though. Every character’s action feels out of left field.

Olga Alfaro If you believe manuscript and she is a psychopath then why did save Crew? Why she needs him? She didn’t like her kids. Yes, she didn’t write nasty things about him but still she didn’t love anyone except her idea of Jeremy. If you believe the letter then I have so many questions about Jeremy and why Low stays with him, he is clearly also psychopath. But there is Low. Who is also not a very mentally stable too, remember after a few nights with him she did everything to get pregnant. So, anyway you look they are all screwed up and not the people you want to be around
