Kim Cardinal-Leikert One that's on my to read list is Gary Noesner's Stalling for Time: My Life as an FBI Hostage Negotiator. I just finished watching the Waco Netflix series, and they used his book to help write the series.

Anne G Also, if you haven’t read it, Helter Skelter is not to be missed. It’s really the standard to which other true crime books are compared.

caylah None Shall Sleep is an underrated thriller/mystery about a serial killer’s MO being solved by two teenagers recruited by the FBI. very captivating plot and the end reveal was amazing and quite gorey.

caylah sadie is also great. it’s about a teenage girl, sadie, from a trailer park trying to find her sister who disappeared, but a true-crime podcaster follows her and tries to figure out the mystery. half the chapters are written out in podcast transcripts which makes it easy and fun to read.
