fleur ☽ Aromantic rep. The majority of YA is pretty romance focused and it’d just be really nice to see it. :]

Jenny Brown More grey asexual representation cuz it seems like we're invisible also maybe more of a balance between how characters get together because it's usually either the characters somehow telepathically know there gay or bi or pan and get together without even speaking about it or there whole identity is speaking about where they are on the lgbtq spectrum all the time I should not have to hunt on the back book cover for a characters sexual preferences/gender identity but the characters also should have a identity beyond the gay one or lesbian number five

S Bisexual Male Leads. For some reason I don't really know any books with good representation unless it's those stereotypical "straight man turns bi for other MC".

Quinno Wuinno I’m pretty sure the book “the darkness between us” has one (or maybe both of the MC and ML) are bi 🤔 I could be wrong though, but I 100% agree with you! We need more!! 🙌

S Also more LGBT characters that happen to be Hispanic. I only have a couple books that contain Hispanic characters, but the whole story seems to revolve around their ethnicity and the fact that they are queer. Like wouldn't it be cool to see queer rep in horror/mystery books with hints of romance?

allis <3 this sounds weird, but main characters explicitly described as ugly

Madeline More disability rep but not written in a way where the main character is hindered by it if that makes sense? Like it’s just a part of who they are and they are still capable and strong. I’ve heard Fourth Wing does this kind of rep ok but I want to see more of it. I don’t want to see characters written like they are lesser because of a disability.

Madeline I also want to see less beautiful characters. I want more characters written like the main character from Magic of the Blood and Sea by Cassandra Rose Clarke

Quinno Wuinno I would recommend reading some books by D. N. Bryn. Specifically their book “Odder Still”!

Gabby More learning disabilities not only will it make characters more realistic it would also help people like me feel less alone and that they are smarter then we feel at times

Maverick Bishop I would love to see more healthy polyamory in fiction. I'm so tired of love triangles and polyamory being portrayed as this immoral and exclusively sex-based relationship. Give me more wholesome polyam rep pls. Also, echoing others, I want more disability rep that isn't written as a character flaw or something to be overcome. People can be badass AND disabled, so I want to see that reflected in fiction more.

Maverick Bishop Oh! And more Solarpunk, in media as a whole. I think we, as a society, need more representations of a better world. One that isn't built on the subjugation and pain of others, but on collective care and liberation

Quinno Wuinno Yeah! That and also asexual polyamory!! Being poly doesn’t equal you’re someone who’s sex crazed. I know quite a few people who are ace AND poly. It’s not just a one size fits all identity… //:

Elosh :) More Armenian rep! There aren’t many Armenian main characters or even side characters in books, so having that representation would be nice.

Abby Tall girls, if I read one more petite small girl I might strangle someone

Quinno Wuinno 😂 “I was so petite and small, they could carry me with ease. A gust of wind could blow by and my poor little bones would shatter.” That type stuff gives off not like other girl vibes. I feel like, someone who is NORMALLY petite and small wouldn’t draw much attention to it 💀 Ykwim?

Abby Exactly, we need us some more realistic girls ✋😔
