Daisy Brantley Well I think of a thriller being like...realistic if you will like kidnapping or murderer on the loose. While mystery being like Dan Brown where sure it's realistic people who don't have super powers but the plot is a little out there like cults and ancient artifacts and clues leading you to SAVE THE WORLD. Finally horror is ment to SCARE you like clowns and children in fields of corn.

Max Edge Thrillers are meant to be more exciting, while horror is meant to be more scary or disturbing. Of course there can be overlap. Looking at lists of horror vs thriller books might help, especially if those lists include some books you've already read.

A.L In my opinion Thriller is experiencing a threat while mystery is solving the threat. Horror would also be experiencing but with Thriller there is a more real and logical way to solve the issue as opposed to horror where the solution is either nonexistent or paranormal. With the thrillers I have read, most of them actually have a way to end with a satisfying ending while with horror there is no real end, it's just that the main character's experience with that threat is over either by succumbing or passing it on to another person
