So honestly im kind of confused on what a thriller is? What makes it different from a horror or mystery book? What qualities define the genre?

I've been reading the Last Mrs Parrish and about halfway through. Does it get better? Not really grabbing me. A lot of similarities to the Housemaid but it isn't reading much like a thriller

Finally finished this book, and as much as I love Jeneva Rose, was disappointed in the ending. I thought it was going in a different direction. Her writing flows nicely though and is easily followed
