'I read Hidden Pictures and loved it. The surprises really surprise and it has that hard-to-achieve propulsiveness that won't let you put it down. And the pictures are terrific!' Stephen KingMallory is delighted to have a new job looking after gorgeous four-year-old, Teddy. She's been sober for a year and a half and she's sure her new nannying role in the affluent suburbs will help keep her on the straight and narrow. That is until Teddy starts to draw disturbing pictures of his imaginary friend, Anya. It is quite clear to Mallory and to Teddy's parents, even in his crude childlike style, that the woman Teddy is drawing in his pictures is dead. Teddy's crayons are confiscated, and his paper locked away. But the drawings somehow keep coming, telling a frightening story of a woman murdered... and they're getting more sophisticated. But if Teddy isn't drawing the pictures anymore, who is? And what are they trying to tell Mallory about her new home?'Whip-smart, creepy as hell, and masterfully plotted, Hidden Pictures is the best new thriller I've read in years. Destined to be a classic of the genre.' "The Hidden Pictures gave me an eerie feeling. This was an okay read with twists I didn't see coming. Was disappointed on where the story went. Enjoyed our main character and the child she was caring for. "

"Aaa!! I loved this read so much as soon as I finished I wanted to re read immediately I would seriously give a whole kidney to experience this book for the first time again i read this so quick as well which is bitter sweet to but it gave everything I was looking for the suspense was amazing I wanted to know what was gonna happen next You absolutely have to read the physical book or the E Book and not just the audiobook because the most exciting thing in the book there is creepy drawings that this kid makes and when I tell you I was so spooked every time I saw these pictures it added so much to the story The plot twist was amazing like I'm really fan girling over Jason rekulak his writing was so detailed and so well thought out that it feels like your watching a whole movie I don't think anyone could pick up this book and be disappointed it's up there with my favorite books"

"Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak
4/5 :sparkles:
This was a great ghost story till it wasn't.
It has a lot of news type hot topic buzzword type stuff that I gave a big 'I'm gonna ignore my prejudices and just listen to the story.' attitude toward. Should you have to do that to enjoy a story, I don't know but I think a lot of people who have tried this immediately get triggered about one thing or another and forget, it's just a story. It's not pushing an ideal or trying to conform you. It's just a story that someone wanted to tell in their own way. Sorry for the rant.
Like I said this has all the makings of a great ghost story till it made that monumental left turn and when it did I rolled with the new idea and why I would've rather an explosive end to a supernatural mystery, I got what the writer wanted and I was along for the ride hanging on every word regardless."

"This was a pretty eventful book. The characters are easy to follow and you get invested in their backstory. The ending was definitely a nail bitter that I couldn't put down because of the unexpected twists. Some events were unlikely but, overall, it was a fairly good read that didn't get stale."
