Annabel If I don’t like the love interest. I legit stoped at the 3rd book of throne of glass series cause I didn’t like the dude she ended up with. I didn’t even get to the part where they get together or anything. I found out he was the end man I said nope and stopped reading.

Annabel Also if the writing for dialogue is bad. Like if I can’t tell who’s talking, or if it’s just “___” he said. She said, “____”

Quinno Wuinno True! If the love interest has the personality of a saltine cracker, it’s so boring/ disappointing. Also, I hate not knowing who’s talking as well. Especially when the word they use after dialogue mainly/ only persists of said. It gets on my nerves for some reason 💀

Kendra Fillip I also stopped reading TOG because of the love interest. I felt like I was just skipping though the whole time. 😭

Max Edge If the writing style is just not jiving with me. Couldn't finish Bunny or A Dark and Drowning Tide for those reasons. Like especially if the style is so close to something I'd like to read, but ultimately feels jarring in a way I can't explain. Usually combined with not being able to get behind the plot and/or characters.

Hailey If I don't care within the first 50 pages or any slurs. For example, in 'Fevre Dream' by George RR Martin, the N word was used 20+ times in one chapter. I actually counted. Couldn't continue after that.

Kendra Fillip The pregnancy trope..... Literally stopped reading a book I paid $20 for because it has that trope.

KT AD I’ve dropped a book 75% in because the MC was getting on my nerves. There’s only so much ignorance and hard-headedness I can take!
