"Horrortober 2022 Day 15 This is actually my second time attempting to watch The Cursed because a few months ago I turned it off by the 3rd act. It starts off strong then after a while I just found it to be incredibly boring and nothing to actually care about (besides those innocent people being massacred). Now because of Horrortober I was given the chance to try it again. I can say on the second viewing I did find it somewhat better but I think it’s because I already knew what I was getting into. The first time the CGI monster/ werewolf bothered me to the point I couldn’t take it serious. On the second viewing I could look past that. The acting , the atmosphere and cinematography is what drives this film. But besides all that it feels a little under developed and lacks heart. It feels like a cheap A24 film with not much to care about. A hairless werewolf is definitely something different to say the least. If I didn’t see the beginning of this film twice I would have never noticed the soldier was the same boy at the end. So that in its self just says a lot about this film. Not my favorite of Werewolf genre but I’m also not the biggest fan of the genre in general."
"A simple little gothic horror with an excellent atmosphere and cinematography. If you are looking for something frightening though, this ain't it, so don't even bother. I myself however enjoyed this addition to the werewolf subgenre. Good acting, and liked overall feel of this film so I found this to be a fine casual watch for my Sunday evening."
"I really enjoyed this movie. It was pretty well made, great acting and not your typical horror movie "
"I love this new era of horror. Interestingly shot scenes that dare you to look away. "
